One of the events regularly held by the Jakarta Provincial Government to celebrate the city’s anniversary is the Pekan Raya Jakarta (PRJ), now known as Jakarta Fair Kemayoran (JFK).
This is the largest, most comprehensive, and longest-running exhibition and entertainment event in Southeast Asia, typically held a few days before Jakarta’s anniversary on June 22 and continuing into July. This year, in celebration of Jakarta’s 498th anniversary, JFK 2025 will take place from June 19 to July 13, 2025, at JIExpo Kemayoran.
Among the many participants at this event are SME entrepreneurs, who are even provided with their own booths or stands by the organizers. Here’s a more detailed explanation.
What Is Pekan Raya Jakarta?

Pekan Raya Jakarta is an annual event that was initiated by former Jakarta Governor Ali Sadikin in 1968. At the time, he envisioned it as a platform to promote trade while combining elements of entertainment and culture in an inclusive public space.
Since then, PRJ has continued to grow, becoming a city icon and even a nationally anticipated annual event. Many visitors from outside Jakarta make the trip specifically to attend PRJ.
For Jakarta Fair Kemayoran 2025, the theme will be “Jakarta Fair Kemayoran Supports Indonesia’s Progress Through Innovation and Sustainable National Creations.” The subtheme is “Let’s Work Together to Develop SMEs and Other Creative Industries to Grow Resilient and Compete in the International Market.”
From this theme, it’s clear that the Jakarta Provincial Government is prioritizing SME entrepreneurs this year, reflecting a collective spirit to build Indonesia’s future through innovation, creativity, and cross-sector collaboration.
In addition to SME entrepreneurs, thousands of companies from various industry sectors will participate, showcasing flagship products ranging from automotive, electronics, and fashion to household appliances.
There are even SME booths from the Special Region of Yogyakarta at numbers 29 and 30, as well as from East Java at number 4, both located in Halls C1 and C2.
One of the advantages of this event is that visitors can enjoy special discount offers not available in regular sales, multi-product exhibitions, cultural parades, fireworks displays, and culinary festivals featuring flavors from both Indonesia and abroad.
SMEs That Have Previously Participated

SME booths located in Halls C1 and C2 come from various regions, offering products ranging from fashion, snacks, and souvenirs to herbal medicine. One SME that previously participated in JFK 2023 is Sinar Abadi Batik, a batik producer from Yogyakarta.
At that time, they showcased various batik styles, including hand-drawn batik, stamped batik, dominant-stamp batik, and abstract batik for both men and women. However, the best-sellers were short-sleeve men’s batik and women’s batik.
Agus, the owner of Sinar Abadi Batik, stated that visitor enthusiasm was evident from the first week until the event ended. This made him highly appreciate the event, as it directly supports the growth of SME entrepreneurs, both locally and nationally.
Besides feeling honored to be selected as an SME participant in the event, Agus also mentioned that he achieved his sales target during the exhibition.
In addition to Sinar Abadi Batik, there were SMEs from Lebak Regency showcasing a variety of products from agriculture and fisheries, including palm sugar, banana chips, shredded meat (abon), milkfish satay, and ranji tamarind fruit.
Furthermore, since the Baduy tribe is one of Lebak’s well-known cultural highlights, the SME participants also brought woven Baduy fabrics and traditional clothing. However, the most sought-after item by visitors was palm sugar, which has gained popularity in recent years, especially as a delicious addition to coffee.
Andri, a representative of the SMEs from Lebak Regency, expressed his gratitude to everyone who helped them participate in the event. He hopes to take part again in the coming years so that local SMEs can make an even greater positive impact.
In addition to Halls C1 and C2, SME participants can also be found in the Snack and Souvenir Center located in Hall E. Here, culinary entrepreneurs from various regions showcase a wide array of tempting treats.
